I have too many chargers and not enough plugs!
Most products come with USB charging as a universal plug that has been around since 1996 . New phones seldomly come with a power adapter and leave you with an open ended USB. Devices such as smart phones, battery banks, smart devices, tablets, cameras, and even laptops support USB. Carrying around chargers with different power adapters can be challenging and take up space. With the industry streamlining the USB standard, what if you could take one cable from room to room and not worry about looking for the “correct” charger?
The solution is a product that doesn’t take up more space but incorporates new technology and features into the same form-factor. The Leviton T5632-W is an easy and afordable solution to charging multiple devices while not taking up counter space with power adapters. The ability to utilize two normal receptacles while adding two diverse USB charging ports is not only a good solution for the kitchen but the bathrooms, bedrooms, and other living areas. This receptacle comes standard with 5 volts while fast charging your devices so you don’t have to wait hours for it to charge like lower end power adapters. This device has earned a five star rating and is Amazon’s choice, making it a very popular solution for professionals and DIYers. Most USB enabled receptacles come as 15 amps but what if you need the full 20 amps from your receptacle? The Leviton T5832-W comes with the full 20 amps while giving the benefit of having two USB ports to utilize. These receptacles are tamper resistant making it safer for small children.
What if I have a different type of USB???

What if you don’t have the standard USB but still want a charging solution to remove those pesky chargers? Not to worry! Wonderful companies such as Leviton have come up with the solution for us by manufacturing not only one type of receptacle but many types to suit our needs. The Leviton T5633-W is a receptacle with Type A & Type C providing a range of charging solutions. You can utilize the two regular receptacles while charging two other devices via the USB ports simultaneously. If you need the Type C port alone, Leviton makes the T5635-W to give customers two Type C charging ports. The Leviton USB4P-W provides the customer four USB Type A ports if you don’t need a regular receptacle.
But my current receptacle is a GFCI...
Leviton has graciously come up with a solution to add USB functionality to GFCI plugs as well! The Leviton GUSB1-W is a 15 amp GFCI solution with two Type A ports. But, of course they have come up with 20 amp solutions for those of us who need the full capability from the receptacle while having additional charging solutions. The Leviton GUSB2-W gives the full 20 amps while being tamper resistant and two Type A plugs. The Leviton GUAC2-W gives a 20 amp GFCI receptacle with one Type A and one Type C USB port.
In conclusion
Technology has come a long way. By changing a few receptacles in your home, you can create more functionality in the same form-factor. Seamless fast charging across rooms can be a small but effective upgrade to your home by eliminating the horror of having to find the correct charger.
